Dr. Tamer Wasfy

Founder and Chairman

Dr. Tamer holds Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Columbia University. Prior to his current position, Dr. Wasfy worked as a research scientist at the University of Virginia at NASA Langley Research Center. He also worked as a research scientist at the department of mechanical engineering, Columbia University. Dr. Wasfy authored and co-authored 60 peer-reviewed publications in the areas of flexible multibody dynamics, finite element modeling of solids and fluids, belt-drive dynamics, tires mechanics/dynamics, visualization of numerical simulation results, engineering applications of virtual-reality, and artificial intelligence. Dr. Tamer  has been frequently invited as a key speaker to share his experience by giving a talk or presentations at international conferences of simulation and multi-body dynamics. He received best conference paper awards as first author twice in ASME conferences. Dr. Wasfy has served as PI on federal and state funded research projects and grants on applications of Advanced Science and Automation Corp.'s products. In 1998 he founded Advanced Science and Automation Corp based on employing science to simulate and predict the multi-body dynamic response at a small fraction of the cost of full size product testing. He is the  architect for the DIS, IVRESS and LEA software systems, which are used by automotive and aerospace companies, government agencies, and academic institutions. Dr. Wasfy is a member of ASME, AIAA, and SAE.
