IVRESS/Elevator
IVRESS/Elevator is a time-accurate finite element / multibody dynamics tool for predicting the dynamic response of cable (including belt and steel rope) suspended elevators. IVRESS/Elevator allows elevator engineers to quickly build, analyze, and visualize elevators systems in an intuitive object-oriented graphical design environment. IVRESS/Elevator can be used to model elevator systems for hoisting people and cargo used in residential buildings, commercial buildings, hotels, airports, warehouses, factories, etc.

IVRESS/Elevator Features
-
Time-accurate explicit time integration finite element / multibody dynamics solver.
-
Accurate modeling of cable-sheave frictional contact using an asperity based Coulomb friction model.
-
Template/spreadsheet (Excel) user-friendly interface.
-
Supports flat belt, V-belt, and steel cable elevators.
-
Belts can be modeled using thin beam, thick beam, shell, and/or brick finite elements. Steel cables can be modeled using thin beam or thick beam elements.
-
Supports crowned sheaves for keeping flat belts centered.
-
Prediction of dynamic response quantities including:
-
Sheave and idler pulley forces.
-
Pulley angular velocities and torque.
-
Span tensions.
-
